Manor Leas 1 William Alvey 0

The second quarter final of this season took place between William Alvey and Manor Leas during half time of the Rotherham game.

The game kicked off and the first attack came from William Alvey, Gabe Lester had a shot on goal but the ball kept rising and flew over the crossbar. 

Manor Leas came straight back at them with Matthew Clarke having a great shot on target but the goalkeeper made a great save and pushed the ball out of the danger area and was cleared.  Lewis Smith (Manor Leas) had a shot only for it to hit the post and get cleared by William Alvey’s defenders. 

William Alvey then gained possession of the ball and 4 good passes found Jacob Fenton in front of goal with a chance to shoot but put the ball just wide of the post.  A couple of minutes from the end a ball was played through the middle of the pitch to Matthew Clarke (Manor Leas), he took control of the ball and slotted it into the corner of the goal to put Manor Leas in the lead.

William Alvey then had a couple of corners to try and get a goal back but they came to nothing.  The final whistle went and Manor Leas go through to the semi final which will be played on Saturday 27^th March.
