Dominos Cup
Cherry Willingham 2 St Hughs 0
The 5th match of this seasons domino’s tournament took place during a wet and blustery half time of the Cheltenham match.
Cherry Willingham Primary had the first attack of the game with a shot from Tom Robinson forcing St Hughs Keeper (Ben Hutchinson) to make a save.
They continued to put pressure on St Hughs goal as Liam Atkinson shot on target, but once again Ben was there to save it. St Hughs then got possession back and after a good run with the ball, Callum Jagger-Limbert tried to get a shot away but connected with the ball wrong and put the ball out for a throw in.
Cherry Willingham then stepped up their game. Jack Forrester fired a shot towards St Hughs goal, Ben could only block it and as the ball came back out Tom Robinson was there to put the rebound away. The goals didn’t stop there as Cherry Willingham came back again and Liam Watkinson had great long distance shot which flew into the top right corner of the goal.
There could have been more goals for Cherry Williingham if it hadn’t been for some great defending from Adam Franklin. Well done to both teams and good luck to Cherry Willingham in the next round who will play the winner from the Grimsby match on the 21st November.
