Dominos Cup
Manor Leas 0 Isaac Newton 0
On a very cold Tuesday evening. Manor Leas locked horns with Dominos Cup new boys Isaac Newton Primary School from Grantham. It was a very close encounter with neither team dominating the match for long periods of the game.
With the game starting to open up it was Isaac Newton who had the first real attempt on goal when Alfie Sheen struck the ball from about 20yards only for the ball to be saved by the Manor Leas keeper. That only seemed to spur Manor Leas on with Daniel Hobson beating two players before smashing the ball goal wards, only to be foiled by the Isaac Newton keeper Michael Carr. From the resulting corner Manor Leas again pilled on the pressure winning a further 3 corners from the attack.
From the last of Manor Leas corners Isaac Newton broke away at pace only for the shot to go flying past the post. Manor Leas responded with another good effort from Daniel Hobson.
With the game finishing at 0-0 the decision went to shot on target, Manor Leas went through having had 2 shots on target to Isaac Newton's 1.
