Bishop King 0 Chad Varah 1

It is the first of the quarter finals in which Chad Varah and Bishop King battle it out for a place in the semi final of the Domino’s Tournament.

Chad Varah Primary were the first to try and break down the Bishop King defence.  Bjorn managed to get a shot away which looked like it was going in, but smashed against the cross bar.

Caleb and Kyle then both had shots for Chad Varah but put them wide.  Josh and Logan came back at Chad Varah and also had some shots but narrowly missed the target and put them wide of the goal.

Chad Varah then crossed the ball into the box and Bjorn got his head to it only to hit the upright.  Jordan then shot straight at Bishop Kings goalkeeper.  Then 3 minutes from the end Bjorn (Chad Varah) dribbled the ball past a defender and slotted the ball under the goalkeeper to put them ahead.  It was a tense last couple of minutes where Chad Varah tried to hang on to their lead and some good defending kept the ball away from their goal.

The final whistle went and Chad Varah are the first team to go into the semi final which will be played on Friday 12^th March during half time at the Lincoln v Hereford match.
