Danny takes role of Young Imps Ambassador

dannyhone-1.jpgOne of the Imps' current crop of home grown talent, Danny Hone, has been confirmed as the new ambassador for the Young Imps' Grass Roots Coaching Scheme.

Danny, a product of the club's Youth Development programme, burst onto the first team scene last season, and this year has caught the eye with a number of outstanding performances at the heart of City's defence.

Danny has already forged strong links with the Community Imps team, supporting many of the scheme's school and community projects, and is the perfect role model for the youngsters who attend our Grass Roots centres around the county. "All young players look up to professional players, whether they are Premiership stars or the idols of their local team, and Danny Hone is a brilliant example of a young professional who is working hard to build a career in football," commented Claire Markham, Grass Roots Coordinator. "Hopefully Danny's profile in the first team, and his success as a local young player playing for the club he loves, will be an inspiration to every member of our Grass Roots scheme", she added.
