Caistor Grammar School... on the Road to Wembley!

caistor grammar u13 cup.jpgThe Football League U13's Cup proved to be a very successful event with Caistor Grammar School running out as the overall Champions in a very close final against Queen Elizabeth High School from Gainsborough with the final result ending 2-1.  The final was full of quality football and plenty of shots on goal to entertain the spectators.

The game looked to be going into extra time at 1-1, with a minute to go when Caistor scored an excellent last minute winner to take them through to the next round.

Throughout the day, the 7 schools teams, Branston Community College (2 teams), Caistor Grammar School, George Farmer Technology and Language College, Queen Elizabeth High School, The Giles School and  The Priory City of Lincoln Academy all produced exceptional performances which made the tournament very exciting to watch and proving how the standard of female football is increasing throughout the county.

On behalf of everyone at Lincoln City Football in the Community, thank you to all the Schools which entered and for making the day such a huge success.
